Council 108 and Court 103, Pokuase in collaboration with The Accra West Region of the Noble Order of the Knights and Ladies of Marshall made a charity donation to the Buruli Ulcer Ward of the Amasaman Municipal Hospital. This was done under the auspices of the Marshallan Relief and Development Services (MAREDES) on September 23, 2017.
The items included plastic chairs, Soap, T-Roll, Cotton Wool and Gauze. It also included Yams, Beans, Gari, Rice and other food items. The items were received by the Staff of the Buruli Ulcer ward led by Mrs. Dorothy Adede Okansey, a Senior Nurse. She expressed appreciation to Marshallans for their continuous support to the Buruli Ulcer Ward.
The Grand Knight of Council 108, Bro George Anthony Biney and Respected Lady Sister Clementia Beinpuo led the team of Brothers and Sisters. In attendance were Worthy Brother Dr. Andre Kwasi-Kumah, the Supreme Physician and a Board Member of MAREDES, the Accra West Regional Grand Knight, Worthy Brother Evaristus Kuatsinu, Bro Andrew K. Baafi, Assistant Regional Secretary and Bro William B.S Dakpiri, Regional Treasurer.
Worthy Brother Andre Kwasi-Kumah gave a brief exposition on MAREDES, explaining that it was set up some six years by the Noble Order to coordinate relief works and build upon it. He congratulated the Pokuase Marshallans for identifying and reaching out to Buruli Ulcer patients. Sis Priscila Akado, Deputy Noble Lady also thanked Brothers and Sisters; especially MAREDES and the Accra West Region for collaborating in this Charity Works. Brothers and Sisters prayed with the patients and wished them well.
